There has been trends on social media hyping the D-day as everyone is so impatient for tomorrow 26/03/2021 to watch the movie. This year has registered tremendous achievement for African Arts from Burna Boy and Wiz kid at the Grammys and now ‘THERAPY’ made up of the best actors and actresses of both Cameroonian and Nigerian origin.
It is important to note that ‘THERAPY’ is not the only Cameroonian movie bought by Netflix, The Fisherman’s Diary produced by Kang Quintus is the second Cameroon movie to be aired on Netflix. The Fisherman’s Diary was shortlisted by the prestigious Oscars Award. Unfortunately, the movie did not make it to the final list. This is a life time opportunity for the world to see and appreciate Cameroonian movies and off course promote them as we look forward to collaboration and deals for Cameroonian actors and actresses at International levels.
“THERAPY” story/screenplay was done by Forkwa Babila, directed by Musing Derick and Anurin Nwunembom, produced by Ermelinde Simo Sakah Jing and Sakah Antoine. Featuring top Cameroonian actors and actresses like Alenne Menget, Syndy Emade, Ermelinde Simo Sakah, Otia Vitalis, Laura Onyama, Lucie Membe and Nollywood legends, Richard Mofe Damijo and Iretiola Doyle. Not forgetting Lelio Achanga the professional makeup artist with magic touch who worked selflessly to bring out the best appearance from the cast. “The idea is to bring out a concept that is neglected within our African context; the inability for a man to have children,”
