Application for the ICCROM Cultural Entrepreneurship Programme
We are looking for 20 creative business minds who have a few years of experience as cultural entrepreneurs; are inspiring and creative; are innovators and risk takers in the cultural heritage and creative industries in their country; and are dedicated to transforming and contributing to the sustainability of the creative and cultural sector.
• Business modelling and planning for the cultural and creative sector • Fundraising and sponsorship • Start-up counselling • Sustainability and community involvement in creative and culture sector • Marketing and communication strategies
General requirements: • Beneficiaries must be aged between 24 and 35. • Beneficiaries must be citizens or residents of one of the following countries: Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Italy, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe. • Beneficiaries must be fluent in English. • Beneficiaries must be IT literate, own a device with a webcam, and have reliable access to the internet. • Beneficiaries must be able to commit to the full training and subsequent follow-up and onfield activities. • Beneficiaries must be able to travel abroad (hold a valid passport and an active bank account). This event will bring together political leaders at the heart of the international agenda as well as renowned youth activists and subject matter experts to ignite a sense of passion and purpose for the young leaders joining from all corners of the globe.
We combine micro-awards of up to 5000 Euros with access to mentorship and expertise from AEF’s global network. Supported initiatives can take the form of grass root projects, workshops, townhalls and convenings to scaling the visibility and impact of projects on priority areas of Africa-Europe cooperation.
The first cycle of the Partners Initiative in 2023 is on the theme of “Blue Economy and Ocean Governance”, more specifically:
- Youth-led entrepreneurship and innovation in the domain of ocean/blue economy
- Partnership initiatives focused on ocean biodiversity, food systems and climate mitigation
Award winners will enter a network of experts and leaders working across Africa and Europe and internationally and will have the opportunity to collaborate with AEF in helping to shape policy at the cross-continental and multilateral level.
