tune in for Amaan Africa VOVO4SDG Holiday Hackathon Pitching with JOY W ZENZ OF Africa Women in Trade & AWE

For the past 2 weeks participants of Amaan Africa VOVO4SDG Holiday Hackathon have benefited from practical training on how to use canva for content creation. Week 3 is the hackathon proper and they have been grouped to brainstorm and create content for their projects, build a free website on canva to present these projects.

The goal is to encourage creativity and generate  ideas to come up with solutions to our common challenges inspired by UNSDG and AfCFTA. The various groups will agree on a specific topic or problem to focus on, and use 48hrs to brainstorm. After the session, the groups will pitch their projects to Joy Wanjiru Machugu-Zenz, Founder of Africa Women in Trade & AWE on the 6th of July 2023 at 11:00 AM CET.

Winners of the pitch will be uploaded on Amaan Africa website for visibility, we will be looking at how concise ,beneficial, a clear call to action delivered with confidence and enthusiasm. Whether you are pitching to a potential client, customer, or investor, the key is to be persuasive, compelling, and memorable. The various teams made up of vibrant African Youths and women across +10 African countries include; The Pacesetters, The Innovators, The Challengers, The Change makers, The Reformers, The Explorers , The Masterminds and The Pathfinders.

Joy Wanjiru Machugu-Zenz is the founder of African Women in Europe (AWE), the CEO of African Women in Trade (AWT) and Africa Market in Europe (AME), Chairlady of AWE Diaspora SACCO and CEO of AWE Academy. She has received several awards, Winner of 2018 African Business Support Award (The Voice Awards Amsterdam), and Won African Diaspora living Legend in Germany. She is also an Author where she compiled and co-authoured the AWE Book Volume 1 , a mentor, Trade and Investment Consultant for Europe and AfCFTA markets.

Joy Wanyuri Zenz is a trailblazer in her field, having made significant contributions to both corporate and social sectors. She is an advocate for STEM education, believing that it is key to unlocking future innovation. 

She was born in Kenya and is a mother to two, living in Germany. Her aim is to connect African Women living in Europe and around the world through AWE platform irrespective of their geographical locations.Africa Women in Trade was founded in 2021 and since then she has created a network of Representatives across +10 African countries with a community of +6000 women  and partnering with other organizations in Africa to support Women in Trade by creating market access, capacity building, and share Investment opportunities etc.  Read more about AWT membership at www.africawomenintrade.com
